Art for Lunch: What is Portraits of Hope? First of Its Kind Exhibition at the Booth

This special Art for Lunch will include multiple speakers and testimonies covering the topic of recovery from substance abuse, also how it affects Bartow County in itself. Portraits of Hope, Inc. provides support, encouragement, love, and hope to women and children facing life’s challenges after incarceration, drug addiction, and domestic violence. Art Demonstration with Robert Rodriguez

Watch award winning artist Robert Rodriguez perform an art demonstration on Booth Museum’s Facebook page. Rodrigues is known for creating the Quaker Oatmeal label, Santitas Corn Chip senorita on their package, and granny on Grandma’s Cookies. He also has created movie posters, a Superbowl poster, Ringling Bros. circus posters, Broadway theater posters, liqueur labels, and approximately 18 US postage stamps, including the Cowboys of the Silver Screen series.

Art for Lunch: “How the TV show Yellowstone deals with real world property issues” Featuring Brian Yablonski

Brian Yablonski is the chief executive officer of the Property and Environment Research Center (PERC). He regularly contributes commentary on conservation topics to outlets such as The Hill, C-SPAN’s Washington JournalFox News, NPR’s Morning EditionMountain Journal, and National Review. PERC is a research institute dedicated to promoting conservation by exploring how free market environmentalism can produce positive environmental outcomes. Brian will join us from Montana via Zoom to discuss land use policies in that state and how the TV show Yellowstone has represented these issues. Join us for an Evening Lecture with award winning artist Steve Penley in Booth’s Bergman Theatre or watch virtually on Booth Museum’s Facebook page or YouTube channel. Penley has authored several books of his own. He has received a number of awards and honors for his talents and has donated countless paintings to charities and organizations. He especially considers it an honor to be involved with numerous organizations that benefit our service men and women as well as our veterans.

Art for Lunch: Cowboy James Edwards and Brent Maher

Cowboy James Edwards, the cowboy poet and multi-Grammy winning music producer Brent Maher will be the guest speakers discussing the first ever released Rhythms & Rhymes of the American Cowboy album. “Cowboy James” discusses the history of cowboy poetry and recites some of his favorite poems.  Watch virtually on Booth Museum’s Facebook page or YouTube channel.
