Annual Fund
Make an immediate impact with your gift today to the Booth Museum. Your support makes it possible for the Booth to offer world-class and engaging temporary exhibitions, customized learning experiences for more than 20,000 students each year, and unique learning opportunities for art enthusiasts of all ages.

HAAS Education Access Fund
Your gift to the HAAS Educational Access Fund provides critical funding for public school groups in Georgia to experience a highly interactive, engaging educational field trip that supports the Georgia Standards of Excellence. Classrooms requesting in-person field trips receive funding for transportation, a significant barrier for many. The HAAS Educational Access Fund also supports virtual programming and resources including virtual field trips, online resource guides, virtual professional development for teachers and virtual art lessons. Your support will make a meaningful difference to students, teachers and families.

Gift of Stock
A gift of appreciated securities – stocks, bonds or mutual funds – can provide significant tax benefits that reduce the net cost of your gift when compared with an equal gift of cash. Opportunities for sponsorships of Museum spaces, events or exhibits are available.

Corporate Matching Gifts
You may “double your dollars” with a corporate match. Supporters will be recognized for their total contribution, if their employer has a matching gift program. Please check to see if your company sponsors a matching gift program.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Gifts from a Traditional IRA – A Triple Benefit to the Donor
For people of a certain age, giving through your Traditional IRA is a tax-wise method of making a charitable contribution. If you are 70.5 years old or older, you may contribute to the Booth Museum directly from your Traditional IRA.
You may contribute up to $100,000 yearly to your favorite charities through your Traditional IRA. This is known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). When you give in this manner, you avoid a taxable event on the ordinary income taxes, had you withdrawn the funds and then contributed from your checking account.
Better yet, if you are 73 years old or older, a charitable contribution from your Traditional IRA counts toward a contributor’s Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
A contribution from your Traditional IRA may also assist the contributor by avoiding an increase in your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI), which may, conversely, increase your Medicare premiums.
To contribute, direct your broker to contact: Leslie McMillan at 770-387-1538.

Donor Advised Funds and Family Foundations
The Booth Museum accepts grants from Donor Advised Funds managed by local Community Foundations, Fidelity and Schwab Charitable accounts, and other similar non-profit organizations. We also accept grants from Family Foundations.

Legacy Gifts
For many of us, there is a compelling need to make a difference – to leave a lasting impact on the people and organizations that mean the most to us. A bequest is the simplest way to make a difference for your charity and lessen the burden of taxes on your family and estate.
A bequest may be made in several ways:
- Gift a percentage of your estate or remainder after family or other heirs have been provided for
- Retirement assets, such as an IRA
- Gift of specific assets such as artwork or other personal property
- Charitable trust or charitable annuity
For more information on gifts of stock, charitable IRA rollovers or legacy gifts, please contact the Development Office at lesliem@boothmuseum.org or 770-387-1538.

Last Will and Testament/Estate Gifts
Including the Booth Museum in your Last Will and Testament is simple. Rather than re-writing the entire document, you may simply attach a signed and notarized Codicil (aka-an addendum) to your Will that states:
“I hereby give, will and bequeath, $___________ to Booth Museum of Cartersville, Georgia. Or after all other provisions of my will have been satisfied, The Booth Museum shall receive the residual of my estate”
Be sure to also include the following information in the Codicil:
Georgia Museums, Inc. / Booth Museum
EIN # 20-1234015
501 N. Museum Drive
Cartersville, GA 30120

Donating to the Collection
The Booth Museum welcomes gifts of artwork that are deemed to be significant additions to the collection and will advance the Museum’s mission. The Collections Committee evaluates all potential acquisitions, and decides whether to accept offered items. If you would like information about making a donation to the Museum, please contact Lisa Wheeler, Director of Curatorial Services, at lisaw@boothmuseum.org. Staff members of the Museum may examine art and artifacts brought to the Museum by the public. Staff members may not authenticate, appraise or otherwise evaluate any object for insurance, commercial, or other purposes. Information on appraisals can be obtained from the following associations:
