Virtual Open House

Join the Booth to learn about live, interactive virtual field trips offered this school year! This is a drop-in event and the presentation will run every twenty minutes. This event will utilize Zoom to connect, but will highlight how to schedule FREE Teacher Demos for Microsoft Teams and Google Meet if your school district requires the use of these platforms. Elementary Economics and the Booth Museum (VIRTUAL) Grades 3 and 4

FREE to Educators! The Booth Museum of Western Art and GCEE are teaming up again to bring third and fourth grade teachers three separate professional learning sessions featuring integration of economic concepts in our GSE with virtual field trips and STEAM instruction. You may register for just one, two or all three 90-minute sessions, if you’d like.

Session 1 at 10:00 am:

Westward Ho! Virtual Field Trip (Grade 4)
It’s Westward Ho! for all of us in this live, synchronous virtual field trip. Join GCEE and Booth Western Art Museum for a professional development event as we look at how virtual field trips support GSE in areas of economics, social studies, fine arts and more! Experience the full-length program as students!

Session 2 at 1:00 pm:
Full STEAM Ahead! Virtual Field Trip & Discussion (Grade 4)
Participate in Full STEAM Ahead! Virtual Field Trip with GCEE and Booth Western Art Museum and learn about how the program supports GSE in areas of economics, social studies, 21st Century Learning Skills, Next Generation Science Standards, and more! A discussion on managing at-home STEAM materials and activities will also be included.

Session 3 at 3:00pm:
Virtual Field Trips in the Classroom (Grade 3)
Get involved in dialogue about how virtual field trips can best support classroom learning and discuss with other educators how you intend to use these online resources during this unprecedented school year. Educators will also view and participate in highlighted activities from the American Indians: Cultures and Contributions Virtual Field Trip (3rd grade; adaptable for 2nd grade).
