Professional Learning Day with Paper Artists Allen & Patty Eckman
Paper Making, Sculpting and Casting Workshop

Calling all art teachers!  This professional learning day will focus on paper/papermaking under the instruction of South Dakota paper artists Allen and Patty Eckman. The Eckmans will teach half of the group and Booth staff will teach the other half. After lunch, the groups will switch. Teachers will work on the Eckmans’ Rose & Ladybug project for their session with the Eckmans. Teachers will work on a bookmark project and a casting project with found-objects for their session with professional artist and Booth’s Program Coordinator, Donna Shiver.  There will be a one hour lunch break from 12-1 pm (bring your lunch or enjoy the Booth Café) .  There will be a maximum of 40 teachers in this program (20 in each session).  Registration required. Registration deadline is 11/1/2022.

Professional Learning with GCEE & Booth Museum
Economic Way of Life of American Indians

Grades 3-4

9:00am-3:00pm, Booth Museum

GCEE is proud to partner with the Booth Museum in Cartersville, Georgia to offer this extraordinary in-person workshop. We will provide third and fourth grade teachers creative and engaging content-integrated, standards-based lessons about historical and economic principles related to American Indian life prior to the 1900s. A children’s book and other materials are provided to teachers along with all lessons demonstrated at the workshop. Time will be provided to prepare lesson materials for immediate classroom use as well as view many of the museum’s exhibits. There is no registration fee for this workshop, substitute reimbursement is available, and lunch is provided.

All registration is through GCEE.
