BAA 3-Day Painting Workshop with Michelle Held / “Painting Water: Light, Movement & Reflection”

In this immersive workshop, artists will explore the many beautiful personalities of water. Moving water, reflective water, quiet marshes, and expansive ocean scenes. We’ll focus on how light travels across the surface, how perspective shapes space within the landscape, and how to create luminous, believable water that feels alive. Through demonstrations and guided instruction, we’ll break down brush handling, value relationships, and strong shape design and essential elements for creating depth, movement, and atmosphere. Artists will learn how to simplify complex scenes while capturing the poetry and glow that make a landscape painting truly sing.
Minimum of 6 students, Maximum of 16 students
FEE: $550.00 for Booth Museum Members, $625.00 for not-yet-members
