3-Day All Prima Painting Workshop with Artist Casey Childs / “Painting Fast While Slowing Down”

Alla Prima portrait painting is about more than speed– it’s about learning to simplify what matters most and painting with courage. In this 3-day workshop, Casey Childs will help you learn what it takes to capture the essence of an individual. Casey will demonstrate each morning and give individual assistance to the students in the afternoon. Each day will be a different pose allowing for multiple opportunities to practice the foundations of great portraiture. You’ll learn how to organize the portrait quickly, mix color with intention, build strong values, and make brushstrokes that feel confident and purposeful. Casey will work with each student to help them achieve their next level in painting and help them meet their individual artistic goals. *Beginners to advanced students are welcome.
Minimum of 8 students, Maximum of 16 students
