1-Day Workshop with Artist June Oros / “Painting Pet Portraits”

This one day workshop is designed to capture the essence and soul of an animal, whether you choose to paint your own pet or a spirit of a wild animal. You will move beyond realism and learn how to paint with emotion and movement resulting in a painterly touch that will bring your subject to life. A demonstration in acrylics will start the day. Beginning with shapes and values and eventually color each student will receive hands on personalized instruction. Acrylics are recommended for their fast drying properties but students are welcome to bring oils or pastels if they prefer. All levels of experience are welcome. Please bring a clear photo of the animal. Think about what excites and inspires you about the animal.
Minimum of 6 students, Maximum of 16 students.
FEE: $150.00 for Booth Museum Members, $225.00 for not-yet-members
