The Booth Photography Guild offers educational opportunities related to all aspects of digital photography. The Guild is open to anyone interested in photography – no matter his or her skill level. Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Booth Western Art Museum.

For programming and speaker schedules visit their Meetup site by clicking here.The BPG was founded in late 2010 in conjunction with a group of interested and experienced photography members of the Booth Museum. The Guild has grown to over 100 participants with members from all areas of Atlanta and north Georgia. Through its museum affiliation, the Guild is able to provide programming of a national scale. A professionally juried Photography Exhibit is held annually at the museum for two months. The monthly meetings include critiques of members’ work by a professional photographer, hands-on classes, as well as lectures by visiting photographers. Periodically, workshops and classes on post processing software are offered as well as an annual ShootOut. A Booth Photography Guild Lecture Series is held in the museum theatre three times annually. Mentoring is a strong part of the Guild’s mission.
Mission Statement
The Booth Photography Guild shall pursue, develop and passionately endeavor to bring about an increased interest in and appreciation of photography as an art form. This will be accomplished by educating photographers of all levels and by exhibiting photography and bringing in exhibitions to the community. The Guild’s main purpose is to cultivate photography enthusiasts who are patrons, members and guests of the Booth Western Art Museum
The Booth Photography Guild is a member of the North Georgia Camera Club Council (www.northgeorgiacameraclubcouncil.org) and the Photographic Society of America (www.psa-photo.org). The Guild is sponsored by Booth Western Art Museum, which is a Smithsonian-Affiliated museum.
