3-Day Landscape Workshop with Artist John Taft
Ready Set Go! Comprehensive instruction, live demos, a lot of time painting with personal and group critique… I can hardly wait! I am a big believer in the fundamentals. In this workshop we will discuss the fundamentals of design/composition (READY). We’ll follow through and incorporate them as we develop several ideas from photos (you can bring your own, and/or use some provided) (SET). If the conditions are good, we may find ourselves outside near the Museum for part of the time painting from life! I know, that sounds crazy, but we are painters! The point of this workshop is to work together to refresh our focus and understanding of the fundamentals to make this development stage more…developed. On the final day, we will select our favorite idea and (GO) take it to a larger format “in studio”. These principles are universal, and though our focus will be the landscape, they are applicable to any subject. You will have your fill of instruction, and I am committed to giving each student constructive relevant feedback. This workshop is geared toward intermediate students with more advanced students benefiting as well, as all receive personal feedback. Come and paint.
