BAA “Abstract Landscapes and Cityscapes Using Oil, Cold Wax Medium, and Mixed Media” workshop

3-Day Landscape/Cityscape Workshop with Artist Chris Groves / “Abstract Landscapes and Cityscapes Using Oil, Cold Wax Medium, and Mixed Media”
September 12-14, 2024 9:00 am –4:00 pm

This workshop will cover two main topics:  Pushing toward Abstraction in one’s artwork as a way of loosening up, as well as using a variety of tools, techniques, and mediums.  Experimenting with Cold Wax Medium as an addition to oil paint will be covered as a way to add texture, layering and mark making.  Using all the basics of landscape painting as a foundation toward abstraction will be heavily discussed as well as  adding a variety of tools and Cold Wax Medium in order to achieve beyond the basics while allowing exploration of new directions.
All levels of artists are welcome.

Minimum of 10 students, Maximum of 16 students
FEE:  $500.00 for Booth Museum Members, $575.00 for not-yet-members
