3-Day Workshop with Artist Nikki Davidson / “Waterfalls, Creeks, and Ponds in Oil or Pastels”
November 1 – 3, 2024, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
There’s a rhythm to the movement of water whether it’s a cascading waterfall, a creek with little tributaries moving over and around rocks, or a gentle breeze causing ripples in a pond. These are easy techniques to master and I’m excited to share them with you. As well as the water element, the student will be instructed in common sense approaches to painting rocks, transparency in water, and reflections. On the first day, students will paint along with me as I demonstrate how to paint the varied elements of moving water. Day two will focus on the student’s own compositions using their photo references or mine. On the third day we will finish our compositions and start a second painting. My focus is always on lots of individual attention and having fun.
Minimum of 5 students, Maximum of 15 students
FEE: $350 for Booth Museum Members, $425 for not-yet-members
