An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until October 15, 2021
This workshop is designed for students to improve their impressionist landscape painting skills. Our goal at the end of the three days will be to paint with more confidence and with clear intent. Working on canvases with large brushes will help students focus on the bigger shapes of a composition. Emphasis will be put on paint application, values, edges, color harmony, and simplifying a composition to create paintings that have unity. Richard will demonstrate daily and show you stroke-by-stroke how he composes his vision. He will go through step-by-step how to edit, omit, and simplify certain elements of a painting to make a stronger composition. Students will come away with a deeper understanding of how to approach and execute a painting from start to finish. Minimum of 10 students, Maximum of 12 students. FEE: $430.00 for Booth Museum Members, $480.00 for not-yet-members. Register
