Art History Symposium

Join us for this year’s Art History Symposium. All speakers will appear remotely from their locations. A limited number of Museum members will be able to participate in person at Bergman Theatre, while all others are welcome to watch and interact on Booth’s Facebook page. - 10:30 am – Symposium Session One – Marking Space: Abstraction and Place in the Work of Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Kay WalkingStick, and Emmi Whitehorse with Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art Rebecca Head Trautmann
- 11:30 am – Symposium Session Two – Panel Discussion – Elaine Horwitch Stories with curator Julie Sasse, art critic/writer Lisa Wade and artist Tom Palmore.
- 2:00 pm – Symposium Session Three – Indians and Cowboys Redefined with artist Duke Beardsley
- 3:00 pm – Symposium Session Four – Indians and Cowboys Redefined with artist Greg Woodard
