4-Day Painting Workshop with Artists Shanna Kunz & Elizabeth Robbins / “Designing the Still-Life and the Landscape with Color and Composition”
This is a two-for-one learning opportunity! Both instructors have over 20 years experience of teaching art classes and workshops. Elizabeth and Shanna have built an online course called Inspired To Paint, teaching hundreds of aspiring artists. This is an in-person workshop that explores a strong design in both genres through connected values, shapes, and color choices. We will use thumbnails and notans to simplify the landscape and work from photo sources – your own or the instructors’. The still-life portion will work from life and photos and explore light and shadow, form and subject/background solutions. Some drawing experience and familiarity with the medium of your choice is recommended. Instructors will both work in oil but students can work in acrylics as well if they choose. Join us as we describe our decision making processes in-depth to complete realistic, beautiful paintings. We will have critiques and personal direction near the end of the workshop. Note: Participation in the workshop will also include 3 months of access to Shanna & Elizabeth’s “Inspired to Paint” online course.
