DESCRIPTION:3-Day Egg Tempera Workshop with Artist Kathy Morris / “Painting the Portrait with Egg Tempera” \nThis workshop is designed for artists who would like to learn techniques and approaches for working in egg tempera. Students will be introduced to the world of egg tempera and learn the unique working properties of this medium used by the old masters. Kathy will provide individual instruction while sharing her knowledge of egg tempera and painting techniques. She will teach students  how to mix egg tempera paint from scratch and guide them through her method of creating a portrait with egg tempera. Working from a photo reference Kathy will provide\, students will learn how to make egg tempera paint\, prepare an ideal modern surface from aluminum composite panels\, transfer a drawing\, create an ink wash underpainting\, build color and light through multiple layers\, and learn about paint application and the use of brushes for egg tempera. \nBEGINNERS WELCOME!
