DESCRIPTION:Friday\, October 17 – Sunday\, October 19\, 2025\n9:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nDo you ever wonder why your still-life composition looks flat or even underwhelming?   Fortunately\, there are simple guidelines to help improve your compositions and make them exciting to the viewer. In this 3-day workshop we will explore the key elements of an impactful composition.  I will start a demo while I let you in on the three simple secrets to a better painting. I will focus on how to paint brass\, copper\, and silver effects. Painting from life and painting from photograph each hold their own value as both approaches connect us to the beauty in our surroundings\, in others\, and in ourselves. Learn to find a balance between capturing a scene from life\, and utilizing tools to record references as we paint florals together. We will paint from life and from photographs to equally represent the benefits and limitations of each. By the end\, participants will have gained the skills and confidence to express their own artistic vision. Painting demos\, discussions\, critiques and plenty of painting time will be provided.
