SUMMARY:BAA 3-Day Workshop with Artist Kim Casebeer / "Painting Powerful Skies"
DESCRIPTION:3-Day Workshop with Artist Kim Casebeer / “Painting Powerful Skies”\nWednesday\, April 22 – Friday\, April 24\, 2026\n9:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nIn this workshop\, students will begin with the same reference photos of clouds and skies that Kim supplies. Kim will demonstrate a painting start to finish in stages during the workshop. We will work in stages\, so that after demonstrating a step in the painting process\, students will work on that step on their own. Students should bring their own sky and cloud photos to use as time allows.  We will go over fundamentals of the landscape: line\, shape\, value\, temperature of color\, intensity of color\, and quality of mark\, and how they specifically apply to a cloud/sky painting.  Clouds and skies have their own\, unique attributes which we will discuss and practice.  Drawing exercises such as notans and value sketches using design markers will be used.  Kim will offer individual attention at the easel during the workshop.  At the end of the workshop\, there will be a group discussion of the work completed during the workshop.  All skill levels\, with drawing skills necessary.  Oil or pastel artists welcome. \nMinimum of 8 students\, Maximum of 16 students\nFEE: $475.00 for Booth Museum Members\, $550.00 for not-yet-members \nTo learn more about the Booth Art Academy\, CLICK HERE.

SUMMARY:BAA 3-Day Studio Landscape Workshop with Artist Kimball Geisler /"Landscape Painting Simplified - A Different Approach to Understanding Value"
DESCRIPTION:BAA 3-Day Studio Landscape Workshop with Artist Kimball Geisler / “Landscape Painting Simplified – A Different Approach to Understanding Value”\nThursday\, April 30 – Saturday\, May 2\, 2026\n9:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nThis workshop focuses on developing a strong framework for tackling the subject of value. Students will spend time understanding two different aspects of value: form and design. They’ll learn what these aspects are\, how they complement one another\, and how they detract from one another. Using value as a “lens” through which we can view other concepts in painting\, students will have a new perspective on other areas such as color\, edges\, composition\, and atmosphere. By the end of the workshop\, students will have a new powerful tool in their kit that can be broadly applied to any subject\, style\, or approach that they may take. www.kimballgeisler.com.  Beginner to advanced students.  Weather permitting\, students may paint outdoors at times.  \nMinimum of 8 students\, Maximum of 16 students\nFEE: $600.00 for Booth Museum Members\, $675.00 for not-yet-members \nTo learn more about the Booth Art Academy\, CLICK HERE.

SUMMARY:BAA 3-Day Painting Workshop with Artist Adam Clague / "How To Paint Glowing Citrus"
DESCRIPTION:3-Day Painting Workshop with Artist Adam Clague / “How To Paint Glowing Citrus”\nThursday\, May 14 – Saturday\, May 16\, 2026\n9:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nIn this workshop\, I will teach my passion – glowing citrus! When I discovered the beautiful effects of back-lighting on semi-transparent subjects like citrus fruits\, I knew I had found a lasting source of inspiration. Back-lighting can provide wonderful drama in your work and is a unique departure from traditional frontal lighting. Furthermore\, the vivid colors of glowing citrus flesh are an absolute joy to paint! Each morning\, I will share essential principles for painting glowing fruit. Then\, I’ll demonstrate those concepts in action as I paint from life. I’ll verbalize my thoughts and show you my process start to finish. Many of the principle in this workshop can be applied to a great variety of subjects. Each afternoon\, you’ll have the opportunity to paint from life as I offer one-on-one assistance and critique. This workshop is for intermediate to advanced students. \nMinimum of 10 students\, Maximum of 16 students.\nFEE: $500.00 for Booth Museum Members\, $575.00 for not-yet-members. \nTo learn more about the Booth Art Academy\, click HERE.
