Painted Horses
May 22 – July 31, 2017
Ages 5 – 12 years/ 90 minute program
$6.00/person, 1 adult free for every 15 children

Did you know the painted symbols on American Indian horses were meant to help the horse in some way?
Join us as we explore the world of American Indians and their horses through art and activities at the Booth Western Art Museum! Children will discover the meanings and stories behind the colorful markings while creating their very own artwork inspired by this hands-on, interactive program!  Minimum of 10 paid participants required.

Looking for something fun to do for your children this summer? Take an art class! The Booth Art Academy offers a variety of art classes throughout the summer. All art classes are open to the public but Booth Museum Members receive a discount on registration! Prices and class offerings vary. Bring some color and excitement to your summer!  Try out all kinds of different art projects.  Enjoy this fun-packed and playful camp designed especially for our youngest artists!

All levels of potters are welcome in this class where you are certain to have lots of messy, muddy fun!  Learn pinch, coil, and slab building and get time on the potter’s wheel!

Lewis & Clark didn’t take an artist on their expedition to the Pacific.  Learn how they kept journals of sketches and notes.  Draw and paint plants, animals, maps, landscapes, Native Americans, Sacagawea, and more.  You be their artist!
